Celebrating our Ladies' Birthdays

Lucky Palace Restaurant

26th June 2010

I felt very honoured and privileged when Angie, our CRO, changed the date of this mini- reunion from the 5th of June to the 26th of June to accommodate my attendance since I was in Malaysia at this time. Such a gesture is truly appreciated and thanks to all who have agreed to the request. Unfortunately a few stalwarts were missing due to prior commitments and these included Wing Kwong, Sze Poh and Koon Koon to name a few.

Dinner was held up due to the some unpunctual people including me due to massive traffic jam in the town where the teachers had a big State celebration and others who could not find their way to the restaurant! When the dinner finally got on the way, the food served was delicious and was certainly worth the cost. We are grateful and thank you to Phooi Fun for organising the wonderful menu.

As you can see from the pictures, all of us had a great time socialising with each other and the fellowship was warm and sincere. Besides the many conversations, we also had a few potential ‘Malaysian Idols’ to entertain us with their gifted voices. It was fun listening to songs that are of our era with Sing Khow belting out all his favourite Cliff Richard songs! Dinner and singing ended at midnight when we were all forced out of the restaurant. Some returned home while others regrouped at a pub at Taman Kemayan. By the time the group dispersed after a supper of frog legs porridge, courtesy of Kim Fui, it was 2:30AM the following day!
